I am planning to hike thru the Smokies in the middle of March. Is there an actual bear box there (like they have in NJ) or is it just a bear cable?

Tri Corner is open to horsepackers and it looked like they had rigged a tarp over the front to shelter from the elements (June 2009). Hope they weren't stabling horses in there. Not a bad shelter as shelters go, but the spring looked a little questionable so filter, filter, filter!!
