    Thumbs down Slack Mar 3,4 NOC-Stecoah Gap-Fontana

Thinking about hiking from NOC to Fontana March 3 and 4th. Will stay at Fontana Shelter, Friday night. Weather is suppose to be in the 30’s to the 50’s. Anyone wanting to hike this on these dates. Will go from NOC to Stecoah Gap Saturday ( 13.6 miles ) and from Stecoah Gap to Fontana Sunday. ( 15.4 miles ) pace around 2 mph down hill .

That's a great section to slackpack. The first day is a pain in the @$$ but the second day is pretty nice. The way it is now, I'll be in the Fontana shelter either thursday night or saturday night, depending on weather, so I guess I'll just miss you. Enjoy your hike!
