Default Any NOBOs north of GSMNP yet?

I'll be doing a section hike just north of GSMNP next week and I was wondering if many NOBOs will be passing by. It seems rather early, but I heard of a few people that made it to Fontana and dropped.

There have been folks on the Trail since January. You'll certainly encounter some, South, North, and within GSMNP.

I'll be heading into the park on Sunday if the weather cooperates. Should make it to Standing Bear Farm within 5-6 days, but who knows.

    Default NOBO's

I met Ghost (NOBO) on the trail Saturday Feb 25 just north of Daleville just before Fullhardt shelter....he said there were several NOBO"s in Daleville...I assume ghost is at the head of the pack.

    Default Northbounders

I met three young hikers today as they were moving quickly up the mountain toward Walnut Mountain shelter (north of Max Patch and Roaring Fork shelter). One said he started at Springer Mtn only eighteen days earlier. They stopped so briefly I didn't get trail names.
