    :banana I'm going back...

Okay it's just about etched in stone now. I got my sh@# together and rebalanced the body after getting off the trail two weeks ago at Neels Gap.

A Brother and sister in-law are heading to Pigeon Forge, TN Sunday and have agreed to assist me in getting back to the trail. So Monday I should be in Neels Gap and heading north once again.

With the lessons I have learned over the past month the rest of the trip should be a relative breeze. No longer will I say to myself that I have enough water to make the next water stop 7 miles away when I have 2 liters in hand. I'll stop and make sure that I drink at least one litre and top off the supply. In the morning if there is water readily available I'll make sure that I force myself to drink at minimum two litres before I leave camp. At night when water is available I'll make sure that I drink as much water as I can stand. (Hey I would rather get up several times in the middle of the night to pee than go thru a bout of dehydration ever again.)

Certain, WhoAh, NicoleLena, Gadget, etc. I hope to see you all on the trail at some point once again. Quite possibly at Trail Days if not sooner.

    Sweet! Good luck to you!

You might catch up with Green Hornet. He should be in Neels Gap today (Fri) or tomorrow (Sat). If you catch up with him, tell him Ms Doolittle says "HELLO!"

Take care of yourself and safe travels.

I'm glad you're going back out there. Listen to your body, take it easy and stay focused. You can and will succeed!

Best of luck to you...And yes drinking LOTS of fluids is always good advice not only for the trail but for any sort of physical activity

Good luck, stay hydrated, and take it easy the first week or so until you know what mileage you can comfortably do day after day.

Have fun - looks like it's cooling off a little next week, so great week to start hiking again!

Good luck! It is all in the pee. If there ain't none you are in trouble. If it is not as clear as a stream, drink more. I may see you at Trail Days.

Again, GOOD LUCK on your hike.
