    Default Forest fires along Trail?

    Does anyone know whether any of these forest fires we've been seeing on the news are taking place near the A.T.? I'm starting a north-bound thru-hike Wednesday and looking for any info to help put my family at ease

    No, they are all in the southern part of the state.

    Atlanta has been pretty smoky all day, I was told by a man from N. GA that its smoky in Forsyth county 45 min from Springer, but I doubt it will really bother any hikers
