    Default Cutting down GG pack

I know everyone had a great time at trail days and some of us might have spent a little more money then they expected. I broke and bought myself a 3.6 oz GG pack. It’s lighter than my REI Flash UL by 4 oz but has twice the room, 2000 cb/in. Does anyone know a way to cut it down the volume without ruining the pack?

I tend to not stuff my soft goods when using small volume packs. I let my bag loft to fill the voids and tend to pack any "heavy" items like food in the bottom of the pack. My base pack weight is also only 3 lbs for a summer load. You can also use your sleeping pad inside to " eat up " some of the volume.

How about a bag full of styrofoam packing peanuts? That can't weigh a lot.
