Was sunny and clear all Day & evening in NE Fla until about 11 pm - then clouds rolled in, ruining any chance for viewing.
When you're green you're growing, when you're ripe you begin to rot!

I ended up watching them on Water Rock Knob, NC...BRP.
Clear Skies, no moon, little ambient light...perfect ! Quite a Show.

One of my favorite spots. On a clear day you can see over 100 miles (well a lot of miles anyway) of AT ridgelines from the Nantahalas to the Balds.

My daughter and I camped Sunday night in the clearing at Springer Mountain shelter. The sky was perfectly clear, and we had the place entirely to ourselves. We didn't see as many meteorites as I had hoped to see, but we saw enough to be contented. It was a great night! Also, the clearing had a lot of ripe blueberries in it which made a nice addition to our breakfast.
