    Default Lost my "pretty girl"

snowy trail.jpgtennent mtn.jpg31. Top of Kelly's Knob!.jpgIMG_0899.JPG.JPGScott and Phoebe on AT.jpgI lost my pup today. My hope is that she is enjoying open trails, no leashes, plenty to eat and drink, and many squirrels to chase. My comfort is that she is no longer in pain. I miss her.

Delta is gorgeous! I had 2 Shelties who were hiking beasts! Neither of them realized they were supposed to be small dogs!

Thank you Water Rat. So you have felt the joy of having Sheltie. I moved to a small city with a population of 2500 about 1.5 years ago.

Everybody knows me because of Delta. Yesterday in the bank when I was depositing a check the teller told me that next time she would not deposit my check if I don't take Delta with me. Shelties supposed to be shy toward strangers but he has never been shy especially with the strangers.

I absolutely enjoyed every minute and am all the better for having been allowed to be part of their lives! My big guy went with me every day to my job at an assisted living facility and my little gal went downhill skiing with me (she rode in my jacket, face poking out, looking like she was having the time of her life!). My Shelties were rather gregarious. ha ha

First picture: Slowpoke atop Mount Keasarge, New Hampshire. Second: Slowpoke, getting his vest on the day that he became a certified therapy dog (he volunteers at an assisted living facility for Canine Assisted Therapy).

Nowadays iPhone can take a photo better than many point and shoot cameras.
