Hi, Chaplain - Phoebe's a Siberian Husky. spoiled rotten! Wondered what I'd done with this pic, and found it today on my laptop. She was about 6 months old - Scott 8 or so. My wife and I had been out on a date, and came in to this sight:

Thanks, she is a heinz 57 w/ a lot of rottie (i think rotties do make good hiking dogs, they were bread for long endurance and hauling loads, the guard part was introduced later in the breed)

she loves to hike and has gone around 250miles with me, she was well trained when i adopted her and she turned out to be a good traildog
And yes, i think the backpack may be her favorite part.

Thanks. Boomer is actually only 2 years old in that picture. He's 115 pounds of pure muscle! He loves to hike and run with me while I ride my MTB.
