great story and won't be able to put it down til the end.
I'm pretty sure he's the guy who came to the gathering a few years back and talked about his walk. Pretty impressive although when his stories of trail magic and hardship came up, I think he had told them so many times that the usual spots where he was expecting oohs and ahhs from the crowd were met with nodding heads in agreement along with silence.
I like reading about anyone that attempts these kind of adventures. Whether it by land, sea, or balloons attached to a lawn chair, it takes a special person to attempt it. (and some money of course)
I'm sure Russia will be interesting. The rest will be a struggle to find trails vs roadwalking which may get awful boring after the thrill of the trail on the AT.
