    Default Introduction

    I thought I would introduce myself real quick before I start posting a bunch of stuff. I have been hanging out around here for quite some time, but just haven't gotten around to joining.

    I started section hiking the AT last year (can't take the time off for a thru hike). I have been backpacking for about 6 years mostly in the SE (Primarily NC and VA), and border on being a traditional to lightweight type of guy (usually carry 25 - 35 total pounds).

    I finally got around to joining cause I found that section hiking involves some logistics that I need some assistance with. I also like the shelter forum, and would like to post some info on the shelters I have recently been too since there is not a whole lot of information on some of them.

    At any rate, I've been posting on backpacking.net and BPL for a few years, so I am sure I will recognize a bunch of you. And to the rest I look forward to learning from you and sharing what I know with you.

    I'm sure you'll find some great info here. Joining this site was one of the best things I did when my husband left for his thru-hike. I've learned a lot. Not to mention, you'll get some great support/assistance and proabably have some real good laughes.
