I can't believe that in all the years I've been on Whiteblaze, I never threw down on this one...so here goes!

Pack: ULA Circuit, extra weight removed - 31oz.
Hammock: HH Hyperlight Backpacker w/ MYOG BlackCat (Spinnaker) fly (w/ all hardware) - 26.5oz
    Quilts: MYOG 30* heat-reflective over- and under-quilts - 24oz.

    Total: 81.5oz (5.1lbs)

If I had done this years ago, I'd be crowing about how much weight I've shaved off since then, but my own negligence has denied me!

I'm still at 12lb-4oz. I got rid of my snake bite kit,and bear bell, but then brought the bear bell back,so It was about 12lb then brought back the snake bite kit to use for a seal-a-meal and so that put me back at 12lb-4oz,yep deffinently 12-4

    I feel like a whale:

GoLite Terrono 85L - 4 lbs 2 oz (bought it for the PCT)
Marmot Limelight 2P - 5 pounds with ground cloth
Sea to Summit MC III Bag - 24 ounces
Big Agnes Air Pad - 21 ounces

    12 lbs, 1 oz

    Someday I'll get a lighter 1P tent.

A few upgrades completed (for now...)

    Winter:
    ULA Circuit (custom) 34.2 oz
Hammock Gear Cuben 4s Tarp 8.0 oz
Warbonnet Traveler 1.1 dbl 24.0 oz
Hammock Gear 20° underquilt 24.7 oz
Hammock Gear 15° topquilt 23.4 oz
    ------------------------------------------
Total Weight: 6 lbs, 6.8 oz
Saving over previous wt: 1 lb 8.8 oz

    Summer:
    ULA Circuit (custom) 34.2 oz
Hammock Gear Cuben 4s Tarp 8.0 oz
    Warbonnet Blackbird Hammock 24.0 oz
    Arrowhead Equipment underquilt 13.4 oz
Hammock Gear 35° topquilt 17.2 oz
    ------------------------------------------
Total Weight: 6 lbs, 2.6 oz
Saving over previous wt: 11.5 oz

Acutally, there is little more where I am likely to save weight. I am very satisifed with my pack, and I doubt I will acutally make a leap to a frameless pack. My hammocks are as good as I could hope for, and extremely comfortable. I have a cuben tarp, and it doesn't get any lighter than that. I could save some weight with my quilts (top and bottom) if I had new ones made with Momentum 50 fabric. At most that would save me 4-5 oz each, for maybe 9 oz (winter or summer), which would break the 6 lb barrier. But to replace all 4 quilts with this would be somewhere around $950-$1000. I am happy where I am.

I have a number of different "big 4" items so I can mix and match and have a few different outcomes... but here is my lightest yet:

Pack: ZPacks cuben fiber Zero: 4.5 oz
Shelter: GoLite Poncho Tarp* (with stakes, guylines and all accessories):10 oz
"Bag": enLIGHTened equipment quilt: 11.5 oz
    Pad: Original NeoAir**: 13.8 oz

    Total: 39.8 oz (2.48 lbs)

*This is for use when shelter hiking (such as in the GSMNP) and in the dead of summer...
**I could swap my Neo out for a 1.7 oz 1/8" GG ThinLight pad, but comfort is more important...(although if I did, the weight would go to 27.7 oz (1.73 lbs)

    pad -wal-mart 24" wide, 3/4 length =10.26 $14

this is good for me from the mid 30's up
from late spring to early fall. I wanted to see how cheap i could put something together after being shocked at the price of commercial lightweight gear.
