I know this may seem childish, but does anyone ever still get a little paranoid/terrified in the woods, at night, alone?

Absolutely. My Solution.
up over the hills, theres nothing to fear
theres a pub across the way with whisky and beer
its a lengthy journey on the way up to the top
but it ain't so bad if you have a great big bottle o'scotch
no. i have my pistol at the ready. shoot first, inquire later
Was as a kid...the USMC cured me of that! I sleep like a baby in the woods.

Only if I'm close to a road that a Camaro could make it down.
Not afraid at all,I know many people that are though. Especially when they hear a noise.
Nope, I often sit out without a campfire or light on at night and just take in the sounds and stars and moon (when there is one).
Sometimes, but so far nothings happened to me. Hope to just keep that trend.
I'm not afraid of the dark. I am occassionally afraid in the dark. I like the rush.
My hubby got this way, esp in confined spaces like a tent. Much rather prefers being in a hammock.
Me, I wear earplugs so I don't hear the noises at night, like animals moving around (which they do and that can get to me).
I've had moments that I was sure the boogey-man was coming for me, but they are the exception; probably from eating that town food that had been in my pack a couple of days.
Tomorrow might just be too late and today is just beginning.
I'm not afraid of the dark! It's the monsters that are lurking around in the dark that I am afraid of.
Only have problems when I bring my girl with me. "Whats that?!?!" ---nothing go back to sleep. LW has it right in my eye. .38s&w snub--my preference

I couldn't tell you. I was asleep by the time my head touched my pillow (clothes bag). By the time I got up to pee in the middle of the night the monsters had already gone to bed. Winter has always been afraid of the dark so I had to go out and hold my futon light for her while she peed.
I used to live in the City and the night noise there doesn't bother me. The first night in the woods the crickets were a defining loud noise. Not much bothers me now except the single loud thump noises. In the big cities its the sirens and the early am garbage trucks. But I can mostly sleep through it all.
Yes, I totally am. I've only been out for 3-5 night trips before so not long enough to get used to night noises. Thru-hike this year will probably cure that though! I can't imagine still being scared of the usual night noises a month into the hike, you just get used to them eventually. My boyfriend isn't much help either. I'm the girlfriend that goes "what's that!?!?!" and instead of saying "nothing, go back to bed" he goes "I don't know!?!?! I'm scared too!!!"
