Thanks for reviving this thread ernman- I'd almost forgotten about it! Hopefully sometime in October/ November, and hopefully on the weekend because I (and most people I'm sure) have work during the week. I'll drive over from Milford, NJ and if anyone wants to, they might be able to drop their cars off at my house and we could fit at least three people in mine. (I know the people at the Trolley place in DWG will let me park for two days, but they aren't usually happy with too many people coming to park). I would like to go when it's a bit colder- need to test some gear!

I ve hiked as far north as warwick typk....almost into NY....I f you ever need someone to hike with for a day hike let me know. I like to go with at least another person because I usually park a car then drive about 10-15 miles and hike back to the car... works pretty well. Let me know...My 1-2 day hikes are starting to get farther away from where I live and no one wants to drive that far to hike for a day. I enjoy getting out and taking pics....check out some of my hiking pics on here. http://picasaweb.google.com/socrholic61

Okay, so I've picked a couple weekends for a potential shakedown. If you all let me know which is good for you, I'll pick the one most people can do. (And I'm thinking Saturday and Sunday, because of work schedules, but if it turns out that everyone has weird work times, maybe we could do it on a different set of days. I also figured only two, because that's enough to check gear, and not so much that we'll all miss work)

October 30 and 31 (we could hike in costume...)
    November 6 and 7
    November 13 and 14
November 20 and 21 (if that isn't Thanksgiving weekend)
    December 11 and 12

I personally would prefer the later dates, but who knows?

How about this- do y'all want to hike in the really cold cold? Or the kind of cold cold? My vote is for November 13 and 14 or later.

So who all wants to do November 13 and 14? (I'll send out a PM to everyone who previously said they were interested, in case they don't see this)

So, to everyone interested, it is NOT November 13 and 14, it IS November 14 and 15!!! And I think we should leave a cache of water near the road, because there are no other water sources nearby. Everyone please let me know with a definite "yes" or "no" as soon as possible.

So far, I'm thinking we should meet at 9:30/ 10 at the trailhead in Delaware Water Gap. I'm parking at the DWG Trolley lot. Sound good?

    PS- Dress warm!

sounds good to me! I'll plan to be there, but my schedule right now is changing on almost a daily basis, it seems. I'll confirm a little closer to the date.
