    With some modification.

The Pepsi aluminum bottles have a more concave bottom than the Bud bottles, which are nearly flat bottomed.

Maybe someone could help the kid out and send him a couple bottles. If I had some I would.

By all means new pepsi bottles will work.

The design seems to be a good one. If I had the time I'd give it a go. I think it would be worth the time and 3 bottles. I can see how it would start to vapourize in 30 seconds and would not be affected by a pot of cold water being placed on it. The instructions are well written and the photos are really helpful in the build process. I give it 2 thumbs up

The "Venom" energy drink bottle works as well as the Bud bottle and I'm pretty sure it's legal for 14 year-olds to drink.

I was embarassed, in stores, looking at Heiniken "keg" cans, looking at how many ounces, checking out the shape of the bottom and squeezing the aluminum a little.

I see I am not alone.

I like that these stoves are sturdy, but what is the time to get 2 cups 50-degree Farenheit water to 212-degrees Farenheit?

I really like the look of the stove in the opening post. Just need the time and patience to make one.

Time is important because I should not be around sharp metal or tools immediately following the emptying of 3 alum beer bottles and one Heinie can.

It looks heavy and easy to tip over. The workmanship looks wonderful though. Quality job.

Hi David, the plans for the stove calls for 3 bottles.

    Construction Section
This stove is built from (3) empty aluminum beer bottles (be sure to dispose of contents responsibly...) No glue or epoxy No tape No flux capacitors...

squeezing Heiny bottles will get you on utube as a viral security video...
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
