But I don't mind, because at least I can eat BACON.

I'm serious about the heart attack thing though.

    And my love for bacon.

More serious about my love for bacon than fear of a heart attack.

Ummm, I am over 25, still pretty healthy!!

Hmmmm.... [pokes bulldawg with blunt instrument]
Seems normal.... And yet an extrordinary input of bacon. [pokes bulldawg again]
A breakthrough! Bacon must be healthy! Quick, call the president, broadcast on NPR- everyone must replace all vegetables and previously assumed "healthy" food with BACON!

    Seriously.

I think if you hike enough it will counter act the bacon's negative effects on the system... That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

    Bring on the bacon!

I'm a little over 25, too, SL, and I'm darned healthy. To add to that, my dad is now 83, hale and hearty, and only takes a prescription decongestant for his allergies. Go ahead, have some bacon!

lmao.... I already made it past 25 and 35 and 40 so no chance of me dying of a heart attack until I am in my mid 40's. It will more likely be the steak, crab and Bernaise sauce that kills me though... not the bacon. That said, maple bacon biscuits are yummiest on hiking trips. All things in moderation.

lol toegem - here's a similar photo from a wilderness canoe trip a few years ago. the other couple we were with also brought a grid and my husband picked out the steaks. they were so big we had the leftovers with some scrambled eggs for breakfast...

[saying it in the most monotonous voice possible] ... I alternate between Fig Newtons, oatmeal, PopTarts, and granola bars, along with hot tea or hot coffee. I'm not one for much diversity or excitement, and can be very satisfied with just those. For a treat, I might occasionally make pancakes with one of those shake-n-pour mixes.

I pretty much keep things as simple as possible.

Ate pop tarts mostly but make sure you put them in something firm so they don't crumble when you jamb them into your pack.

    Did anybody mention BACON!!! yet?

It was a great way to start Sunday morning in the backcountry.
If people spent less time being offended and more time actually living, we'd all be a whole lot happier!

And that damn MonkeyBoy- now my craving for bacon is worse than ever. And I think people in the office may object to me whipping out a skillet and frying up the fat. But only because they're jealous...

I bring my cookset stuff to work sometimes. But I run the damn place, so they better not say anything to me!
