Default Do i need to replan?

Man oh man what a rainy wet mess. I have a trip planned to go from Delaware Water Gap to the Hudson River the last week of September. I have found some info. on ny/nj conf. website but I am not sure how to determine what to do. Is it too early to know? Should I figure out a different walk. If I didn't have to work for a living I could be more flexible with my dates. I hate when work interferes with my hiking/camping.

Just aborted a week section 4 days in. I made it from 301 to the ny/ct state line and the constant rain in the forecast for the next 4 days made me decide that it wouldn't be much fun to continue on. That being said, the trail in this area was in pretty good (yes, wet) shape. All the bog bridges and board walks and river/stream crossings were in good shape.

Maybe plan for a different section a bit further north such as this one, or further south?
