Well yesday Jan 2 21 deg. with 45 miles an winds windchill -5 deg.
Today right now 18 deg. with 40 miles an wind windchill -12 deg.
So how cold is where you guys are.
13 degrees in western nc. elevation 1000 2 hrs from the trail. nc mts must be brutal. early winter cold for us.
Quite cold for these parts. Temperature between 10 and 15 deg. and wind chills as low as -5 to -15 this morning in Pembroke near Pearisburg. Long-distance forecast shows high temps under 30 deg. through Sat. That's uncommonly cold.

Low 20"s here in Eastern Ky. Looking for single digits tonight. Were looking to be in the 20's for high temp for the next week. Makes ya wanna throw on a pack and go to the Gorge don'it

High 20's in eastern north carolina. camped out in back yard testing a new sleeping bag. Wife's dog was out there with me for awhile trying to figure out what I was doing but she gave up and went inside where is was warm

Slept in the back yard to try out my new tent. 13.9 this morning. Had the stoves with me and a bottle of water out with me all night. Snow peak LiteMax choked and sputtered. MSR Windpro worked like a champ.
It's 37 here in central Florida. I have a weather station set up in Happy Valley, Tn. that was showing 12 degrees at 6:00 this morning.

Low teens in Pawling this AM with 40 plus gusts windchills in the negitives. Was cold on the way into work this AM brushing off my car and then my wifes the tops of my ears were getting numb by the time I was done. Feels just right when out walking the dog with my new Merino Wool long underware and new mittens from OR. Looking forward to shakeout hike in about 2 wks down in Wind Gap.
At 6am here in the Northeast Georgia mountains, within view of Tray Mountain, it was 9F. Not sure of the windchill, but the winds were high enough that I am certain it was below zero. I bet the ice climbing at Hogpen is great today.

It was about 18 F here this am in SE Virginia and the wind was a good 20 mph. Windchills around zero I'd guess. All the water in our barn is frozen up and I've been breaking the ice in the outside troughs from those horses. I'm so ready for Spring already!
This is quite cold for this area. The ocean usually keeps the weather quite mild.
