Tried powdered scrambled eggs one time (emphasis on ONE). I'll stick to keeping the powdered eggs mixed in with lots of other stuff.

Looks like you got a lot of prep in there. Lots of color too.

Sorry, I'm sure the food is awesome, but if I see food porn, it ain't gonna be in ziplocks!

    Now this is food porn:

    ( I love fresh veggies...)

(Grandma made an eggplant dish similar to the above)

    ...and my dessert weakness:

    That's food porn.

    Yes.

One of the hikers doesn't do his meals in a bag, but does the same thing in his pan. His have a little more flexibility (types of noodles etc) than traditional fbc.

That hamburger isn't food porn......this one is.....

    Its topless.
Love people and use things; never the reverse.

Mt. Katahdin would be a lot quicker to climb if its darn access trail didn't start all the way down in Georgia.

Sorry, if I am THRU hiking..I sure as hell am NOT going to associate ziplock bags with food porn even more so. Silly.

Food porn my patootie. It's hiking food. It may be good hiking food..but it ain't the hiking food I'm gonna call porn. Ziplocked food is not what I a dream of when I am on the trail.

I'll see your supper buffet in Seattle and raise you one cheesy Beowulf-esque gluttony fest:

(I just like the name. Plus, I wonder if they have horned mugs full of mead???)

Don't you realize that Mags cooks all that stuff when he's out on the trail?

That's why he has his e-book "Hike My Way - Damn It!"

Your mixing up Franks Sinatra's (trail name: Ole Blue Eyes) book "I hiked it my way, damn it!" with my book (Trail name? Dumbass). HIKE MY HIKE - DAMN IT!

My book is an easy read. Frankie's book DOES have hints on how to be a swingin' hiker and how to make a mean trail martini, though.

A "swingin hiker?" I might have to pick up that read! Where can I get it?

Dicentra has the soft core stuff, Mags & Lone Wolf went XXX hard core.

Only a long distance hiker would truly understand this.

I sort of get it, more so since my 22 day trip a few years ago, & I am salivating right now, so,,,,,
