2010 Section Hikers
Didnt see anything for section hikers. What section hike have you done this year or plan to do, when and, where?
Smokies around the first week of Sept. Hope to see you out there.
Late may. I plan to do the 100 mile from monson to katahdin.
Smokies mid October. Can't wait!
Duncannon to Harper's Ferry or Front Royal mid-June; Pinkham Notch to Caratunk (if I get that far) in August.
Front Royal to Duncannon mid May to first week of June.
Doing the NOC to Newfound Gap 5/1 to 5/7 with 2 other guys. Will be at the NOC 4/30 and the Grand Prix motel 5/7. Will have beer.
Hughes Gap to Ermin May 21-24
AFSP to Winding Stair Gap July 16-25
am starting april 21 and heading to damascus to enjoy the festivities may 12,13 and 14 probably will need to get off trail midway and thumb to damascus then back track to where i got off being a beginner at this am asking make any sense? patrick powers aka fat pappy. /ag
PenMar to Harpers Ferry next weekend (planning to do this in 1 day). Deep Gap, NC to Fontana Dam (and maybe on to Clingman's Dome) in June.
Already did Harpers Ferry south to Manassas Gap earlier this year.

Springer to Unicoi Gap, May 3-7. Can't wait.
Week of May 16: Deep Gap, NC to NOC with my newbie 20yo daughter! Can't wait!
Fall 2010: Either NOC to Max Patch to complete everything from Springer to Pinkham Notch, or Pinkham Notch to Andover.

VA this month, then start in ME SOBO July 1
Springer going North about 80 or 90 miles at the end of May, and then CT/MA line North thru all of Mass in fall.
Started 9 MARCH 2010 NOBO: VA 522 Front Royal to Port Clinton, PA -then SOBO: NY 17 to Port Clinton, PA -Finished 5 APRIL 2010.
Deep Gap to NOC maybe Stecoah Gap starting April 29th....GSMNP in Aug/Sep
Sometime this summer Jug end Rd Ma to Ct rt 4 to finish all of Mass and CT. Was to be out there right now but life and work have gotten in the way. Late summer or early fall either a week north out of Hanover or a week south out of Waynesboro depends on the time of year. Late fall early winter maybe something down south still not sure.
So far this year Wind Gap to Culvers Gap and Duncannon to Birch Run plus a weekend for the warmer at the Doyle but that included climbing a lot of stairs a few times.

I'm going to section hike my first time on the AT this June, from Front Royal to Duncannon. I hope you have a great trip, maybe see on the trail.
