Looking for a safe place to park a vehicle in Hot Springs for 10-14 days--Wile doing a section hike from Franklin to Erwin. Any suggestions?

BMO had us park by the RR tracks, half a block away. It was fine.

10-14 days is a long time for that stretch. It could easily be done in 5-7 days.

    Franklin to Irwin?
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

There's a FS parking lot at the trailhead on the trail south side of town. I think it's actually the compass west side of town past the Smokey mountain Diner.

Park in the public lot at the RR tracks, its public parking. Let the Police (across the street) know you are leaving it and its all good

Yeah, my two buddies both parked their trucks here while we were gone for 8 days, no problems.
Anything's within walking distance if you've got the time.
