Truth be told, after 2000+ miles on the trail. I hate rocks. Big ones, small ones, I hate them all. Is this common among those who been on the trail for a while? (I'm a section hiker and what's worse, I live in the rockiest state on the trail, PA!)

I love big rocks, one you have to climb over or don't move when you step on them. I hate little rocks, like the ones you have in PA which roll and twist your ankle when you step on them!

I don't care for wet rocks.
Enjoy the trail; one step at a time
I could not believe how rocky the trail was SOBO from Harper's Ferry to Chester Gap (which I just did). I now have anterior tibial tendonitis from it and doing an 18 miler one day over the rollercoaster. ugh
But rocks are part of the AT life.
IMO and recollection, "the rockiest state on the trail" is New Hampshire, not PA. PA does have those annoying small pointed irregular rocks but so do other states. I still remember what a PITA the rocks were in the stretch south from Wind Rock (itself a nice flat rock with great views) to Bailey Gap in Central VA.
I have no problem with rocks.
Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.
If it weren't for rocks the trail would be a big hole!
Rock hater here.
Pain is a by-product of a good time.
Thats hate speach! *goes off humming "I am a Rock, I am an Island."
The rocks are worse in PA and NJ cause I imagine that's about where they start falling outta the thru hiker's heads for taking on such a feat in the first place!
Simple is good.
I love making rock stairs...

The Rolling Stones weren't bad, good job!

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
Woo
Some knew me as Piper, others as just Diane.
I hiked the PCT: Mexico to Mt. Shasta, 2008. Santa Barbara to Canada, 2009.
