    Default Help!

To whom it may concern: I, walkinhome, have been posting (3 times) on the Trail Days Reunion thread (under the Genral thread)and it does not show up when I hit the "new posts" button. They are there when I search for that thread but no updates appear on the general listing. Can you help?

I saw that you were having an issue. I'm pretty sure that since you posted it will not show up under new posts. I am using this post to test as I will check to see if this thread shows up in my new posts.

Yes, you are not seeing them as you were the person placing the new post. This thread does not show up in my new posts. Hit the Today's Posts link and you will see your thread.

I don't usually start threads so don't know the ins and outs. Sounds like you are saying that if I post on a thread I started it does not show up on my hitting the "new posts" button but evreyone else will see it. I will see an update when someone else posts on that thread.

Almost. It doesn't matter that you started the thread. Your post is not considered new as you wrote it. I forget this sometimes but automatically hit the Today's Posts when I am not seeing a thread I know I was just reading from the top of the list.

By default, VBulletin software will not show your own posts as new regardless of who started the thread. If WB's admins want to change that, their is a setting for it in the admin panel (a subsetting in user permissions, I think)
