Question Long Weekend...what are you guys doing?

Going to do a 7 mile out-and-back in SNP on Friday, take my mother to "Prairie Home Companion" on saturday(late Mother's Day gift), and haven't decided yet what I'm doing Sunday.

My turn to work the holiday Monday, and I am working the day "cops" shift so another reporter can work nights because she has a hike planned during the day.

Thanks mostly to Tipi Walter's trip reports, we're taking 4 days to check out the Slickrock Wilderness. Should be fun.

Still a lot of snow up high. (Some snow dumps in the Spring).

We are going to the Great Sand Dunes and surrounding areas and live it large with car (truck) camping along with some hiking.

Heading to Jackson Hole via Denver, Dinosaur National Monument and finally to do some hiking in Yellowstone NP. Plan on doing some bar-b-q while enjoying a beer. Busy weekend.

THIS FRIDAY - we're doing a Hiker Picnic in SNP at Smith Roach Gap Parking. Come hang out with thrus and bring some food. 10 AM to 5 PM, rain or shine

Rest of the time, too much to do here to get ready for hike July 1 (in which we go June 19 for a trip to Banff beforehand) . But will probably take a day hike in SNP one of the days.

My mother-in-law in Castine, ME, reported last night that the black flies have come out in her neck of the woods.

    Good luck on your hike!
