Papers were signed today at the celebration towards having a permanent base camp facility just north on Skowhegan for the Trail Crew. This will house the workers and allow for storage of equipment. Also the woods will be suitable for chainsaw training and other trail building training.
The site is due south of the AT and about centrally located between both ends of the trail that the MATC is responsible for.
