    Post what color . . .

    . . . should we paint 'The Barn'?

    We've been doing some maintenance on Overmountain Shelter aka 'The Barn' and it is time for a new paint job. Whadaya think?

    The weathered gray color looks fine on most barns and a close match to that is Sherwin Willians Mountain Ash gray.

    It's a barn, leave it red! Of course, you should paint a "See Rock City" sign on the roof!

    I like the idea of weathered grey. You could also put a series of signs on the approach trail with one of the Burma-Shave ditties, culminating with Burma-Shave on the side of the barn!

    Here's one, unfortunately never officially used, that refers to a place to stay/roost:

    Listen birds / These signs cost / Money / So roost a while / But don't get funny / Burma-Shave
