I never can get enough root beer in towns. I am also addicted to drink mixes(kool aid/mio/etc.).

Bourbon or a good Scotch Whiskey, or beer in general. Even after long runs I just crave beer.

U.S. citizens are consuming an increasing amount of daily fat while increasingly leading more sedentary lifestyles. Not a particularly good combination. The types of fats AND in the amts we are consuming them isn't promising. Much of it are BAD FATS(trans fats and hydrogenated oils). We are consuming an over abundance of even good fats too like Omega 3's leading to Omega 3, 6, and 9 imbalances with great frequency. U.S. citizens are addicted to these things off the trail and it is obviously being translated to what's noticed on the trail. There's tons of evidence showing how Americans consume too much of all these things and the consequences. We keep making excuse though.
This thread is about: Crazy food addictions while on the trail , it's not in the health forum.

I hear this! I am not a soda drinker at all, except on long hikes I cannot get enough. Coke/Pepsi/Root Beer, whatever, the cold, wet, sugar and bubbly (with caffeine as a bonus) cannot be beat. And that two-buck 800 calorie McDonald concoction sounds great, Torch, thanks for the tip!

I could live off Pepsi and ice cream while hiking. I will hitch miles for a soda. I don't touch it off the trail.

I haven't ate them since I got off the trail but one thing I always had in my food pick was pita chips and or combos.
