    Default earlist completion of a thru hike

    what is the earliest date that a thru hiker has arrived at katahdin after leaving springer no earlier than january 1st. I know the park only opens after a specific date. Just curious

    I know this year the earliest was sometime in May, after starting on Jan. 1st.
