Pot smoking hippies!

I recently bought a DVD on the AT called TREK. While watching it with a few of my friends, one of them (who was high at the time) kept commenting on how he thought they were all really high, and referred to them a pot smoking hippies. Now, im obviously not gonna take the advice of a kid who knows nothing about the AT. I have nothing against pot, used to smoke it myself, but my friend seems to have the idea that its a bunch of hippies hanging out in the woods smoking weed. From my very short time here on WB, most posters are not ones I would categorize as 'hippies'.

Anyway, long story short. Anyone notice the smoking of the pots on the trail?

I personally haven't seent it (or smelled it either) on the AT, but it does exist.

Sure they smoke out there. They passed it in front of my 16 yr old while I was asleep (he told me about it later).

Yes, there are people smoking pot out there, just like everywhere else, including WalMart.

Doesn't mean they are all hippies though. This thread cracks me up.
