    Default Big Agnes Sleeping bags

I'm looking at Big Agnes Zirkel SL 20 degree bag. Can anyone tell me how accurate of a rating this is? I understand it all depends on the person using it, but I just don't want to be cold at 30F.

I own a BA Lost Ranger 15 degree bag. I have found it to be accurately rated.

    rpenczek,
I have the Big Agnes Horsethief rated at 32F. I have slept comortably in it to the mid-20s (measured by both my and my hiking partners digital thermometer). I do run a little warmer than average. doodah-man

I used my Crater 15 deg bag 2 weekends ago in Maryland/Southern PA. It got down to 12 deg and I had to wear nearly all my clothing to stay warm (down jacket, windshirt, base layers, nylon pants, hat, gloves, thick wool socks). However, the Crater is very generously cut.

I also own a BA Lost Ranger 15 degree bag. I have found it to keep me quite warm even when it got down to the 20's. I do have a silk liner in it that probably helps to keep me a little warmer.
Never cut anything in half...You might end up with 2 pieces you can't use.

    That is a steal.

I am a fan of BA products. My Horse Thief is 35*. I have hade it to 30* air temperture without any problems. I was not using a liner, but wearing baselayers and my insulated BA pad of course.
