How was it abused? Did it mean extra money out of your pocket? Did someone swipe the phone? Do you leave it on the porch all night? How many thru hikers have made it to Damascus, couldn't be that many.

Are you not aware of the thousands of people that use it as a food/rest/mail drop every year. Not to mention trail days? Seriously?
