    Default Windbreaker Recommendation Puh-leeze!

    I need a windbreaker for hiking/backpacking/caving.
I would like it to be not toooo terribly thick as I would be wearing it over my cold weather Under Armour shirt. But I would like it to be lightweight for when I put it in my pack. I need it to be easily washable as I will wear it in caves until I get hot. So it could potentially be crawled in. I don't care if its men or womens. Any suggestions?

That Patagonia Houdini is steep for a wind jacket. I think I paid that much for my light weight down jacket!

EMS make they're own version of the driclime http://www.ems.com/product/index.jsp...56439.10756444 it's on sale now for $40. I have one and it's pretty comfortable and blocks the wind great. Considering how thin it is, it's pretty warm.

new, and haven't tried it yet, but eddie makes good stuff and it weighs only 5.3oz... comparable to the whisp.

I had the CAMP Majic Anorek Jacket-only 3 oz but ran too small for a med. replaced with Mont Bell Mistral Parka (7 oz) this is a very fine jacket and more substantive than the CAMP. I find for AT hiking-a wind shirt is not really necessary. Light rain jacket and a wind vest work great.
