LOL! reminds me of some entries in shelter logs. but maybe belongs in the humor section?? anyway, you of all people should know that eating your dog is a bad idea, at least it is if you eat the liver, which is very high in vitamin A, and you can get serious vitamin A toxicity. this is thought to be what doomed Amundson et al (ok, there were other factors too) on their failed trek to the south pole, where they tried to survive by eating their sled dogs, but didn't know the liver was dangerous. so there!

It's been done plenty on polar expeditions. My dog's too skinny. Also too cute.

Amundson was successful. Scott and crew died from ignorance and bad luck.

I was so staving after dragging those 30 miles to Neels Gap I didn't ask what was in those jesus burgers.

Maybe a way to get rid of dogs on the trail? Just steal all their food so they'll have to.

I was so hungry I began eying my beloved puppy and visualizing steaks, chops and ribs. Fortunately, at the next road crossing, trail angels were cooking hamburgers and passing out sodas. Pure trail magic saved my dog!

    LOL!

I wouldn't eat Frankie. Greyhounds are too skinny.

Hardly half a kabob's worth if you ask me. Besides, I'd never catch her.
