Oh, my word, lol. If that were the case, I would have to change my trailname to Creeper! No, I am definitely a girl. Thank you for the laugh, though! See you in the spring!

Right on man! My b-day is April 22nd too, and Earth which I've always been proud to be born on haha. I thought of that date but it's just too late of a start for me, I like wander, stop and smell the roses here and there. Oh I got you beat by one year, be my 27th. Might see ya out there tho!

The timing is right - I'm doing it!
heh what a noob - the name of the trail I am going to be hiking on is the AT. I don't have a trail name yet.

The logistics are pretty daunting at the moment but thinking of the thru hike keeps me motiviated to press on. I'm throwing everything I can think of on eBay and Craigslist to raise funds. If it comes down to it I will just sell my car but I'll wait till Feb or early March to do that if necessary.

    Hey there Mister,

I'll be hitting the trail late on the first after arriving from Alaska. I keep telling myself "I live in Alaska, I'll be fine in the cold." The truth is it could be redicoulsly cold. I'm interested in talking about winter gear and or just talking about the the early start. Overall, I'm just glad there will be other thru-hikers out there too.

Wintering in the Bankhead National Forest in Alabama, then catching a ride to the start of the Pinhoti Trail and starting the AT from there. Planning to hike to Katahdin and back to Alabama!!
I am following the same path about the same time. Plan on heading north from Sylacauga on Pinhoti, AL and Ga to Benton Mckaye then south to springer. That would have me leaving about 15 Feb but I intend to zero at home on weekends until final launch on the AT late March.
