    Default Waynesville, NC hiking?

    hello all

I'm looking to find some local hiking trails in or VERY close to Waynesville, NC.

I know about the trails such as Big East Fork (on 276) and the trails up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm looking for anything else that is close to the town area.

Thanks in advance for any information you guys can lend!

Dude, hitch or ride over to GSMNP for 800 miles of trails
The trail was here before we arrived, and it will still be here when we are gone...enjoy it now, and preserve it for others that come after us

Pisgah National forest is full of them and right at the 'back door' to Waynesville.
HAPPY TRAILS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD HIKE!

The mountains to Sea trail crosses Balsam Gap right where the Blue Ridge Parkway intersects US Hwy 74 - its a great hike in either direction and very close to Waynesville (less than 10 minutes).
