I can usually eat 2 dogs, 3 if I'm really hungry. With only a package of 4 there's not much sharing. I like to bring the pack of 6 or 8 then everyone else is happy too.

It's really sad that a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wild dogs.

Well, I have only had daschunds in my life. I think it would take a lot of them to be effective. But then again with the little guys going after the bear's paws it just might not take that many.

I have a Yorkshire Terrier. He weighs 3 1/2 lbs. I'd say about one hundred of him could take out a bear.

One is enough if you coat him with dish soap.

It depends on if the bear is leashed.

Is she safe? That depends if she's wearing underwear made out of bacon or not.

Of course, WB would be overrun by threads about people who don't properly leash their bears, or let their bears bother people at shelters, or growl at people coming the other way on the trail, or people threatening to poke other people's bears with their hiking poles, or people who let their bear lay down in the water source, or who don't bury their bear's waste, etc....

Ran across this on the road up to Balsam Mt. Campground 4 years ago. If I had 4 Plott Balsam hounds, I would feel safe; 4 chihuahuas, not so much.

yeah ,...but every year there would be that one dummy who brings a grizz.we would have to have an unwritten rule, if you show up with a grizz, alot of the gram weinnies with their lighter bears give you the cold shoulder.

If that is a Ultralight pack of 4 dogs, many would say he isn't safe. Others might argue he would gain considerable safety by virtue of the extra mobility. I say BYOB. (B

On the not so lighter side,
I believe there is a stove that would go nicely with such a pack.

She should just get a hammock. (isn't that the answer to every question on WB?)
