Default Aw, well, this changes everything!

According to many biblical scholars, the judgement day is May 21st. That's right, two weeks from today!
"On May 21, "starting in the Pacific Rim at around the 6 p.m. local time hour, in each time zone, there will be a great earthquake, such as has never been in the history of the Earth," he says. The true Christian believers will be "raptured": They'll fly upward to heaven. And for the rest?"

"It's just the horror of horror stories," he says, "and on top of all that, there's no more salvation at that point. And then the Bible says it will be 153 days later that the entire universe and planet Earth will be destroyed forever."

Ok, so 153 days is ~five months ... Apparently, I'm gonna have to change my start date to, well, now!

Course, I don't have to worry about some of those pesky details like how to pay my bills, cleaning out my fridge ...

This is like the third time he's predicted the end. Maybe the third time is the charm.

This same group also found a hidden message guaranteeing that the only correct base weight is exactly 20lbs.

every couple of years theres a bunch of people that go into the desert to wait for the world to end, then go home after the deadline passes.

We shouldn't malign "Biblical Scholars" even with sarcasm. I'm not a great fan of Biblical Scholars, but I suspect none of them believe the rapture is happening in two weeks, if ever. None of those in the photo looked like scholars to me.

The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.

Actual bumper sticker: "In case of rapture, this car will be unmanned."

Bumper sticker I'd like to have: "In case of rapture, this town's average IQ goes up 50 points."

Biblical scholars? What about that part that says even Jesus didn't know the day or the hour...

Of course in my book, Rapture is a bunch of bunk too. As I understand it, the modern-day concept of the Rapture is a modern interpretation of the scriptures that was 1st voiced less than 300 years ago. Given that the Christian Religion is 2000 years old, I find it hard to believe it took over 1,700 years for something so important (if true) to be revieled to believers.

The real point of the scrptures is that none of us know the day or the hour... and more important that when THE world will end is when "my world" will end (i.e. our death). It's not important for us to be ready for the end of THE world to come at any moment, but for us to be ready for OUR end to come at any moment.

i dont care about the end. but this thred is the only chance i get to say somrthing i wanna.

im a bible guy. i impressed phattchapp with my understanding and sinsights on a regular basis. and he was a millitary chapline. i also overheard three professors from penn , theologins, who had less insight or basic knowlage of the bible than me. i read it 17 times and know it well. i have been illustrateing the bible for 20 years. i got every plant, bug, fart and dude in it three times over in paintings.i can exsplaine the bibel better than anyone i ever met. i love god more than bacon.
