Change will happen. There is also a "New Posts" tab at the very top left under "Homepage."

The "new post" button at the bottom left appears to hover over another button I cannot completely see, which is also over the "first" and "1" page buttons. Awkward

And I have not yet figured how to simply bring up the "post" (not quick post) window without trying to quote the last remark.

Finally, all the emoticons (except post icons) are hidden or blocked on my network.

But all this will pass as we are more comfortable with the new system. Overall, I do like the system.

On a different forum (utilizing ancient software) on with I participate, there is an option for "spin off thread." This is really neat when you want to take the discussion in a different direction without klobbering the original poster. It would probably getused too much here, though. [emoticon skipped as I cannot access]

What about the 3 random photos that were on the homepage, I enjoyed seeing those everytime I refreshed back to the homepage.

Not fond of the lost detail in the graphics! Also, all the white, sometimes white on off white colors, detail and distinguishes are lost! Not fond of not having the "New Posts" option on the home page. All the rest I will have to get accustomed to!

I'm hoping for some word on how to post photos with the new system. Hoping it's just a bug that will be fixed soon.
If people spent less time being offended and more time actually living, we'd all be a whole lot happier!

I work in software and hear these complaints all the time. Users, get over the fact that sites have to change to keep up with the times.

I had raised this on the other thread. It looks like the only way you can log in is from the homepage whiteblaze.net on the left side of the screen.

Aha! I had seen that, and then it disappeared. Now I understand that if there are no recent responses to my subscribed folders, nothing shows here. Ok, I'm happy now.

Well, I wish I could see the emoticon graphics on the right hand side of the advanced message screen. But, other than that ...

Bearpaw, I just uploaded a photo now. You have to go the Gallery and then to the individual category (in my case, it was "Faces"), then you'll see the option for uploading.

Worked fine for me. That was a direct photobucket image link.

End users understand the need for updates to keep up with technology. End users do NOT understand the need for vastly different feels. I always hated when Quicken would do updates as I felt the programmers had to justify their time by making things TOTALLY different.

To me a great software update is measured by minimizing end-user fatigue.
