Default Looking for source for ultra light weight tent fabrics for sale by the yard.

Think I am going to try making my own tent/tent accessories. Need a source for buying the materials. All suggestions/links appreciated!

Some knew me as Piper, others as just Diane.
I hiked the PCT: Mexico to Mt. Shasta, 2008. Santa Barbara to Canada, 2009.

Quest Outfitters is great. I've ordered from them a number of times. Good quality materials, reasonable price and quick shipping. Can't beat it in my opinion.

I've ordered from Thru hiker and Quetst Outfitter and they both provided great service and pricing.

Noah Lamport sells seconds at $2.75/yd 10 yard min order. Call them for a price quote?

BTW I bought many yards of their secons and can't find any fault, the material preformed perfectly in the rain.

You CAN find silnylon at Walmart in the fabric section. The people who work there don't know what it is, but if you go every few days you will find a bolt of it before too long. Just browse through their "sporting" or "specialty" section of the fabric area. I have found it on clearance, as well. Doesn't cost much.

If you want to try your hand with Cuben, Joe at Z-packs will sell you anything he uses by the yard. Very fast service too.
