sorry, i didnt mean to offend anyone. i just thought that the workmanship was excellent, and some of the simpler designs would be great for DIYers.

I went back for another look and read the comments. It was not intended for practical use.
Would I need a machine shop to build something like it?
DIY huh! as long as it's not made in China.
    This guy does have skills.

im pretty sure hes from japan, most of the construction videos show him using hand tools. again im not suggesting purchasing stoves from him, im just saying that some of his designs are well thought out and simple for anyone wanting a weekend DIY project.

I'm fairly confident that "DIY" probably suggests that "it" is probably made where 'you' do (read make) it yourself.

Thanks, PaperCrane. I've seen a number of this guy's videos and he does some cool stuff. His DIY videos are informative, too, and I don't read Japanese.

    Thanks Paper Crane
I had seen some of his work but this one is a work of art..
Took the opportunity to watch the modified Trangia stove and the "how to make chimney jet alcohol stove"
The latter one is very elaborate ,well outside my attention span and DIY skills but well worth watching if you are into making alcohol stoves.

Beautiful craftsmanship. There are quite a few youtubers out there who design and create conceptual backpacking stoves and they're all lovely.

Still, I love my practical little etowah outfitters alcohol stove.
