    Question Festival near A.T.

Hey I was sort of bummed when I heard All Good festival (used to be in WV) was moving to a new location in Ohio for 2012, it would be way closer to my home town in Michigan but not so great sense I'm thru hiking the trail next spring :/

Anyone know any good big or small music festivals that would be on my way NB or near the trail????

    Thanks : P

Check for the Doc Watson "Musicfest" in Cove Creek. You can hitch there easily from Damascus. If you don't know Doc Watson, it's worth the trip to learn.

SKOJAM and MidSummer are pretty close to Pine Grove. MOTM, if held at the same place as the last few years is relatively close to DWG and the BEST venue I have been to IMO. Smaller Festivals, been to SKOJAM and MOTM and had a blast.
I'll be at SKOJam for sure!

Del Fest Maryland area, Always check out Asheville NC, its one of the hottest music towns. Easy access from Sams Gap plus a hostel in downtown. Look at the Orange Peel and Civic Center for shows when you pass through. If you get up north early, Mountain Jam is May 31 in Hunter NY. Also, check out jambase.com for festival info
