    Default Salem, VA early February

I gotta go to Salem, VA the first few days of Febraury for a work project. I'm off over a weekend. What's the must see stuff on the AT near there? I'll either be dayhiking on Saturday and Sunday or doing an overnighter on that Saturday night. Also, shuttles near Salem, VA to the trail? Thanks.

dragons tooth mcafee knob and tinker cliffs but the first two are closer to salem then tinker cliffs but i like to hike from 311 up to mcfee knob then camp at or near campbell shelter then next day hike to tinker cliffs and down the andy lane trail.. i could very posibly give you a shuttle from andy lane trail lot back to your car at rt.311... but if you just day hike dragons tooth and mcfee knob trailheads are both on 311 which leads right out of salem.. but you will not regret the over nighter i described..

Will a 20 degree bag be sufficient for an overnighter? I usually sleep clothed.
