The one made by ULA is great. It's $30.

I have heard that the ones from ULA tend to get water trapped in the bottom since there are no drain holes. Is this true?

Yeah, this did happen to me once in a really hard rain, it wasn't a big deal though, I just reach back and dump the water out. I doubt it would be an issue in light rain.

Doesn't Z-Packs make some nice cuben pack covers? Or use a trash compactor bag inside.

Or...........buy a grommet kit for $5, and stick a couple in the ULA cover.

After spending the $30 for the matching rain cover for my new ULA CDT, I noticed Wall-Mart has one for $3.00 that probably would have worked okay. Actually, except for sleeping bags and tents, Wally world is getting a half decent selection of hiking gear.

I've never had any trouble with any of the ULA raincovers I've had. I never had the water pooling problem with my Conduit(now called CDT) or Circuit. They fit well and I like the bright orange color for hunting season.

I know my rain cover for my circuit will wrap all the way aroud and hook onto itself, I've never had a problem with rain getting in my pack. Of course if it starts to rain really hard I'm always content with just pitching my tarp and chilling out a while, possibly taking a nap.

Got it from ULA. For awhile that was their default color for their colors. Since their website now says assorted colors and shows a picture of a green one, I'd specifically email them about getting orange.

As Skinewmexico stated, a trash compacter bag used to line your pack works very well. They last a long time, and never collect water like a pack cover does. The low cost is a plus too! The outside of your pack will get wet, but so what?
