Default What is cell phone reception like along the Colorado Trail?

Trying to decide whether or not to bring my cell phone.

In my experience last year, it was sporadic. I have AT&T which, I was told, was inferior to Verizon. But mine worked in places, not just high points. For example, 2 days away from Salida in a campsite by Dry Creek, I was able to phone the hostel in Salida. This was not atop a ridge but in a typical creek divide between ridges but I still had service. On the other hand, none of the 3 of us had service at Spring Creek Pass, a paved state highway separating Segments 21 and 22, not even the person with a sophisticted Smart Phone. So it's hard to say but I recommend bringing it.
