    I also went with a slip-on sandal from Wal-Mart instead of my bright red Waldies this past trip, saving 5 ounces on my size 10. They're certainly not as comfy and Crocs-with-a-strap would be better for fording, but they weigh only 7 ounces and they're easier to pack (slimmer).
