On the topic of three letter hiking equipment stores, an EMS in my town is expanding from their little shop to an REI sized building. 25 minutes closer and REI's dividend doesnt match the EMS 15-20% student discount

we don't have an EMS, but even though I like REI a lot, Moosejaw has the best deal on their rewards. You even get rewards for sale/clearance items and if you buy a lot, you get better rewards the next year. I guess now I'm gonna have to pay Florida sales tax on online orders.

I am thinking that Black Creek Outfitters is hating life right now they have been our only true outfitter store for years and this new REI is going in just around the corner. Black Creek is really expensive so I wonder if they will survive with an REI right there nearby.
