Springer to Unicoi Gap/GA75 parking options

Hello! I'm new on here.I am planning on hiking this section in April northbound. Any suggestions on which end or where to park and leave my truck?Any shuttle folks/suggestions would also be appreciated.Is it even possible to leave a vehicle @ the USFS 42 parking lot for several days?thanks,buckshot

You can park at either Springer or Unicoi. If you want to do the approach trail you can also park at Amicalola Falls SP. You could also park at Ron Havens hotel in Hiawassee if you plan on spending a nite . Almost always better to get your shuttle done on day 1 and hike to your car instead of hiking to your shuttle. Plenty of shuttle options; start with generoll who is on this site.

My son lives in Cleveland GA and parks cars at his location ~ then shuttles you to where ever and can pick you up if security is a concern. Email me at [email protected] or call me if interested and I'll give u the details.

I did this exact section in Feb. Be sure to pop over and check out Long Creek Falls. It only takes a minute, and it is very beautiful. So many people are so busy trying to get somewhere that they miss it. I'm glad I went over there. Best scenery of the whole section. I got dropped and picked up so I was lucky with the transportation. If I only had one car I'd leave it at Unicoi and catch a ride to Springer. I only want to ride up that dirt road one time....
