    jedediah smith would never have survived his grizzly encounter without those fabric softener sheets.the bear was asthmatic.
    Ive said it before, if confronted by a bear, just toss a few chipmunks at him, itll keep him busy for a while.

    I too have heard that bugs don't like fabric softener sheets. I tied a couple to my pack once --> didn't work. But it did smell nice. I now store my packs with those sheets in them!

    I think you people are sniffing too many dryer sheets -- time to move this whole thread to the "Humor" section. Oh, BTW, -- in my experience, they have to be 'Downy' dryer sheets, you're wasting yer money on anything else ...........
