Leaving for Maine late in May with a girlfriend from school but we're starting around the first of June. We are super excited and hope to meet a bunch of new people.
No official trail name so Eric is fine for now.

No aproach trail, we did it last year during our GA section hike in April.
It looks like this is the year to do it, my daughter is more than ready, her school is in full support, my wife really pushed me to do it and It looks like I will have a job to come back to (I have been and RN for 28 years, have worked at my current hospital for 13 years and I will be giving up a Unit manager job for perdiem work, but I am ready to make a change)

Will be quitting my job in January 2013 and traveling for a few years. I feel starting with a through hike of the AT is a good way to start it off! I will be traveling solo but am sociable so I am eager to meet some other AT through hikers!!
Hey Old Bear! You and I are tha same age. My wife and I will be heading out on March 1st. You will more than likely catch up to us. We hope to finish on or before my birthday, Sept. 14th.
