Default What kind of chord to use for draw string in MYOG quilt?

I'm in the process of making a down quilt to use on my MEGA thru hike this summer. It'll have 2.25" of loft so it should be good down to 25 or 30 degrees. I bought the thruhiker kit and have everything figured out except for what kind of chord to use for the drawstrings. I know it's a simple item but I was just wondering what everyone else was using for their quilts?

Or get something that is multi use.Like going to your local outfitter and buying some 1/8" cordage like"Spectra"that you could then use to 'prusik" up the side of a Mt. like Bond....James Bond.

I like shock cord. I like to think the elasticity prevents damage to my quilt if I move around too quickly.

Paracord 550 (4mm) and I'm talking about the "REAL" stuff, not a cheap knock-off, which can be found all over. Many, many uses for this cord.

I think that 1/8" black shock cord would be best. That is what is used on my quilts. I wouldn't want non-stretch cordage personally.

ZPacks has some lightweight black elastic cord and mini-toggles.

I am thinking I will replace all my drawstrings with one or two of the small diameter elastic cord he has.

I found some 3/16" shock cord from ace and tried making a quilt. I agree, with a hammock you almost have to have stretch cord. Otherwise it's a fine line between too loose, or trying to hold your weight up with the quilt and ripping out the seams.
